This Arctic adventure takes travellers to remote areas along Norway's dramatic coastline and the northernmost parts of the country. Conducted entirely above the Arctic Circle, this tour significantly increases the chances of witnessing the Northern Lights. A selection of activities is available, including a Husky safari, an introduction to Sami culture, or the popular Northern Lights Safari.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tromsø
Arrive in Tromsø and transfer to the city centre by taxi or airport shuttle at the traveller's expense. Key attractions include the Polar Museum, Northern Light Planetarium, and Tromsø Museum. Overnight in a centrally located hotel.
Day 2: Northern Lights Experience
A visit to the Polaria aquarium or we can arrange a whale watching tour (available November to January). In the evening, a Northern Lights chase is scheduled, with a possible stop at a traditional Lavvu for marshmallow roasting. Overnight in a centrally located hotel.
Day 3: Hurtigruten Voyage
The day is available for leisure in Tromsø before the Hurtigruten departs at 18:30 for a voyage along Norway’s coastline toward the North. Dinner and overnight stay are provided on board.
Day 4: The North Cape
Today, there is a stop in Honningsvåg for an excursion to the North Cape, known for its dramatic sea cliffs. The journey proceeds to Kirkenes, with dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5: Kirkenes & King Crab Safari
Arrival in Kirkenes is scheduled for 09:00. A King Crab Safari is organised, including lunch at a local fisherman’s home. Transfer to the Kirkenes Snow Hotel for dinner and overnight stay follows.
Day 6: Departure
A transfer to Kirkenes town centre is provided after breakfast. The remainder of the day is free until departure. Note: airport transfer is not included.

Local tip
We recommend to visit the ship's deck at off-peak hours, such as late at night or very early in the morning. The quiet, dark hours increase chances of seeing the Northern Lights without the crowd, providing a more intimate experience.
