Our Iceland Team Adventure
This April, our Haman team packed their bags—and their laptops—and set off for an unforgettable journey across Iceland. From dramatic coastlines and volcanic landscapes to glacier adventures and the steamy serenity of the Sky Lagoon, the trip blended inspiration, collaboration, and Icelandic magic in equal measure.
Touchdown in Reykjavik
Our adventure began in Reykjavik, where teams from across our offices landed and reunited. After a delicious lunch at Hlemmur Food Hall, we jumped into hotel site inspections and a private walking tour of the capital. That evening, the first of many memorable meals was shared at Haust Restaurant, where we kicked things off with fun facts from home and plenty of laughter.
Ideas, Insights & Icelandic Soaks
The next morning, the iconic Perlan Museum set the stage for a series of energising meetings. From marketing updates and post-COVID sales trends to a spirited Kahoot quiz, the day sparked creativity and new ideas for the future of Haman Travel. But it wasn’t all work—our well-deserved reward came in the form of the Sky Lagoon. Floating in geothermal bliss with panoramic ocean views, we felt truly immersed in the Icelandic spirit.
On the Road: Snæfellsnes Explorers
Divided into small travel groups, each team then took on a leadership role as we journeyed deeper into the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. From Borganes to Stykkishólmur, we explored awe-inspiring natural wonders like Bjarnarfoss, Rauðfelsgjá, Vatnshellir Cave, and the iconic Kirkjufell. Each stop brought new discoveries, shared knowledge, and team bonding moments that strengthened connections across departments.
Evenings Under the Icelandic Sky
Along the way, our evenings were filled with Northern Lights hunts, cosy dinners, and the chance to unwind together. Even though the auroras didn’t always make an appearance, the real magic was in the shared experience and camaraderie that grew stronger with every kilometre.
Returning Inspired
Now back at our desks, we’re filled with fresh ideas and lasting memories. Huge thanks to everyone who took part in this incredible journey. Iceland reminded us not only of the beauty of travel, but also of the power of a great team.
